The Château de Davenay vineyard was the first to enter the hands of the Picard family in 1986. Perched on the heights of the medieval village of Buxy, it overlooks part of its vineyard, nestled at an altitude of over 300 meters.

Located in a small, idyllic hamlet, the estate's vineyard covers more than 11 hectares in the Montagny 1er Cru appellation, spread across three distinct climats. Some of the plantings date back to the early 20th century, in the 1900s.

Over the decades, the owners have regularly replanted. The diverse ages of the vines give the terroir great richness and diversity, as well as a stable and solid structure essential qualities in these turbulent times of climate change. The 15 hectares of Château de Davenay are cultivated organically and worked with respect for the individual plots right up to bottling. The resulting wines are pure and true to the subsoil from which they originate.
