A rumor circulates in the village: Levert Barault is one of the oldest wine estates in Mercurey. Indeed, its creation by the Levert family dates back to the 16th century. A few archives attesting to their presence still remain in the heart of old Mercurey. In 1997, the Picard family acquired this exceptional 9.5-hectare vineyard, whose emblematic parcels are named Les Combins, Les Champs Martin, and Clos des Barrault.
