OUR COMMITMENTS
My commitment is total towards intelligent, thoughtful, honest, healthy viticulture, oriented towards the future, inspired by the great agronomists of the past and put into practice by a team of committed men and women.
There is no point in producing if we do not think about the impact our actions will have on our descendants.
Excellence, the only ambition that pushes us to our limits, compels us to never be certain, and encourages us to think differently every day. Climate change is a proven fact; therefore, every seemingly simple action becomes a subject for reflection.
As manager of the Picard family estates since 2007, I have been committed to massively restructuring our vineyard, which today comprises 140 hectares of vines, mainly located in 4 villages: Montagny, Mercurey, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.
The size of the estate may seem large; however, the men and women who make up the teams are involved in every decision. They are required to work meticulously on each plot. We champion continuous training and value the benefits of knowledge transfer.
Today, the entire vineyard is cultivated using an agroecological approach.
We are proud of it and the challenge continues.

Our environmental policy
With the aim of firmly committing to a responsible environmental policy, we have decided to create our
environmental management system, PLINE, which is based on the ISO 14001 standard.
We have defined 9 commitments that guide our daily actions and allow us to engage in a process of continuous improvement while respecting the regulatory requirements applicable to our activities.
These commitments reflect our determination to integrate our businesses into a constant process of progress that fully integrates environmental aspects: a particular attention to respecting the preservation of our natural, plant and animal resources.
Reduction
- Product lifecycle carbon footprint
- Water & energy - consumption
- Computer data - archiving & storage
Optimization
- Sustainability of the vineyard: from young vines being planted to the oldest vines
- Viticulture techniques that respect biodiversity
- Travel: vineyard vehicles & services
Management
- Eco-design: all our activities
- Responsible purchasing: widespread policy
- Waste sorting: virtuous management
